Net-Zero Vision: Carbon Reduction Plan

Annual Energy and Emissions Inventory
We conduct annual Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions inventories in accordance with ISO 14064-1, updating the baseline year and emissions intensity accordingly.

Implementation of Energy-Efficient Equipment
We introduce high-efficiency or energy-saving equipment, such as LED lighting, hybrid vehicles, and electric vehicles.

Replacement of Old Equipment
We annually replace outdated, high-energy-consuming equipment, such as lighting and refrigerators.

Carbon Inventory and Carbon Neutrality Achievements

2024

Surpassing standard GHG inventories, SPE followed ISO 14068 standards and the "reduction first, offset second" principle to achieve full carbon neutrality. It is the first energy service provider in Taiwan to receive third-party certification for two consecutive years, awarded by the Taiwan Electric Research & Testing Center.

Adhering to the international ISO 14064-1:2008 standard, responsibility is revealed through data, ensuring that every carbon emission is transparent and traceable.

2023

Amid global net-zero pressure and the scarcity of green power, SPE overcame these challenges through professional carbon inventories, cross-departmental energy saving, self-built green energy facilities, and strategic REC procurement. Consequently, it has become the first energy service provider in Taiwan to achieve third-party carbon neutrality certification.

With the assistance of its subsidiary, Startrust CO., LTD. the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission data inventory was successfully completed. Furthermore, the ISO 14064-1 verification statement was obtained from the Taiwan Electric Research & Testing Center (TERTEC). By making the data public and transparent, the company demonstrates its integrity and commitment.
