For the third consecutive year, SPE supported the WEMATES Charity Gala hosted by WEPEOPLE Magazine. In collaboration with the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation, this year’s event mobilized collective action through silent donations, raising nearly NT$4 million on the night of the gala. These funds will provide crucial support for the rehabilitation and recovery of burn survivors and individuals with facial disfigurement. Beyond advocating for Facial Equality, we hope to transform our corporate contribution into a ripple effect of kindness, standing alongside these courageous life warriors as they face their challenges.

In response to the ongoing severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, SPE donated 28,000 medical masks to Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH) on June 24, providing tangible support for frontline healthcare workers. COO Chung-Chih Tsai stated that during periods of prolonged pandemic restrictions and high social tension, it is even more crucial for companies to fulfill their social responsibility and contribute to public health. Throughout the pandemic, medical professionals have worked in high-risk environments for extended hours, leading to a critical need for safety protection and a high consumption of medical masks. Through this donation, SPE hopes to inspire others to follow suit, inviting more companies to join in caring for and supporting the dedication of healthcare workers. This initiative embodies our core value of "giving back to society what we have taken from it."

SPE and the Taiwan Renewable Energy Promotion Alliance (TRENA) are promoting a green energy public service project for rural tribes, calling on United Renewable Energy, Yingzheng Yushun Electronics and Zhaoxin Dentsu Technology to jointly complete a 6KW solar power generation system for Changguang and Zhongren Presbyterian Churches in Taitung, allowing green energy to take root and light up the tribes. The chairman of Sunrise Energy, Ms. Bi Wan-apple, said that this green energy charity activity not only shows support to the remote tribes, but also brings green electricity benefits through the solar power plant to solve the difficulties faced by the tribal areas. The project will significantly reduce the burden of high electricity bills in the initial stage, and in the future, it will boost local economic development and increase local employment opportunities, thus realising local creativity. We are proud to be part of this project, planting the seeds of green energy for the benefit of the tribes and hoping for a better future for the rural tribes and the next generation.

Under the promotion of the Taiwan Renewable Energy Promotion Alliance (TRENA), SPE and solar power industries have been doing their part to fulfill their corporate social responsibility by building the first 100% green home for stray dogs in Taiwan, allowing the love of Mama Zhuo and the companies to continue to shine. The home is located in a remote area where electricity is scarce, so it is not easy to maintain. This time, Increasing Energy, the Taiwan Renewable Energy Promotion Alliance and related green energy companies have worked together to complete the third phase of the public welfare power plant. The care and concern of Mama Zhuo's stray dogs has been met by companies committed to the development of green energy, and together they have created new possibilities to further realise the value of green energy for the public good.

SPE supports the development of domestic solar aviation technology by sponsoring National Formosa University (NFU) with NT$100,000. On June 25, the team headed to the Czech Republic for a solar UAV test flight mission, making SPE the first renewable energy company in Taiwan to sponsor such a project. Led by Associate Professor Chung-Yen Lin from NFU’s Department of Aircraft Engineering, six NFU students collaborated with faculty and students from the Department of Air Transport at Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU). They aimed to challenge the long-endurance flight record during the peak sunlight period around the summer solstice. The flight took off at 03:14 on July 9, 2024, and landed at 05:07 on July 10, completing a continuous flight of 25 hours and 53 minutes. This achievement successfully surpassed the previous 21-hour-and-50-minute record set by the NFU team in 2022.
