Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President of Ton Duc Thang University delivered the opening speech of the Forum.
The forum was attended by leaders of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, experts, business leaders from the US, Taiwan (China), Singapore, managers from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Vietnam National Innovation Center and research institutes under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President of TDTU said: "I hope that this Forum will become an annual activity to promote cooperation between Vietnam and the international community in the semiconductor industry, as well as contribute to making Vietnam an important link in the global semiconductor supply chain."
With the theme "Development trends of high-tech industries in the world and their suitability for Vietnam in 2025", the forum aims to update the latest advances in semiconductor technology , share experiences from international and domestic experts, and promote cooperation between universities, research institutes, and enterprises in the high-tech industry.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Truong Thang, Director of the Institute of Information Technology - Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, presented the topic on semiconductor industry, microelectronics, data center, cloud computing and AI.
The forum focused on topics such as: the development of the global semiconductor industry, new trends in chip design and manufacturing, as well as the impact of semiconductors on other areas such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and automation.
Speakers are renowned experts in the field of semiconductor technology, from leading companies, universities and major research institutes.
