SUNPOWER SMART ENERGY CO., LTD Achieves Carbon Neutrality

The global net-zero wave is sweeping through manufacturing supply chains, with companies facing challenges such as difficulties in acquiring green energy and the scarcity of carbon credits. SUNPOWER SMART ENERGY CO., LTD has taken the lead in overcoming these obstacles. Through professional carbon inventory assessments, energy-saving and carbon reduction across departments, self-built green energy facilities, and strategic procurement of green energy certificates, SPE has become Taiwan’s first carbon-neutral energy service provider certified by a third party.

Justin Tsai, Chairman of SPE, stated that from local expertise to global expansion, SPE’s mission is to be the low-carbon energy provider for the world's factories. By implementing innovative measures such as solar PV systems and energy storage development and installation, combined with services like electricity sales, charging stations, and carbon management, SPE offers an end-to-end green energy solution for Taiwanese enterprises. SPE plans to supply 200 million kWh of green electricity from its Taiwanese power plants to a major semiconductor company in phases, paving the way for its clients' net-zero goals.
