Leading Renewable Energy Company SUNPOWER SMART ENERGY CO., LTD (formerly SUNPOWER ENERGY TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.) upholds environmental protection principles and is dedicated to advancing green energy development through smart technology, actively fulfilling ESG activities. Following the Dragon Boat Festival cultural experience event in the Longshan community in June, which promoted community development, the company once again partnered with its 100%-owned subsidiary, Ruitai Green Energy, to collaborate with the Taiwan Wetland Conservation Alliance. On August 30, they jointly held a beach cleanup event at Qinkunshen in Tainan.

Qinkunshen, once part of the Sigu Salt Fields, gradually transformed into a wildlife habitat after salt drying ceased. The Taiwan Wetland Conservation Alliance has adopted the land, but due to limited manpower, waste in the wetlands severely affects the natural scenery. For this event, the employees and company executives of SUNPOWER SMART ENERGY and Ruitai Green Energy traveled from Taoyuan to Tainan to actively participate in wetland conservation efforts.

On the day of the event, under the bright sun, volunteers from SUNPOWER SMART ENERGY and Ruitai Green Energy first listened to a professional ecological briefing about the wetland, and then proceeded with the beach cleanup. Everyone rolled up their sleeves, put on gloves, and carefully collected waste from the wetlands using tongs. The wetlands were littered with large amounts of fishing and household trash. The volunteers categorized and packed these non-biodegradable waste items, such as discarded drink cans, Styrofoam, and fishing nets. Within a short period, they successfully cleared six large bags weighing about 30 kilograms.

The company will continue to promote environmental protection and sustainable development through concrete actions, working with all sectors of society to safeguard precious natural resources.
